That, is how you see

I dance with a summers day as I sing a ballad of finer things
And everyone chuckles aloud for my songs they do not believe
My ballads ring true for I wear these spectacles
Tearing open my eyes, they kindly introduce me to all of earth's beauties
I'm shown glimpses of the illuminated moon kissing the surface of calm waters
And vision's of iridescent snowflakes blanketing the city streets
Ignorant town's folk poke fun for they find me to mentally strange
Fools they are for they just look, I see
I see the beauty in a sobbing child's face or of the mother who is drenched in fatigue
Beauty is found in the darkest of all things, I swear it to be true
To acquire these spectacles you are to tear open your chest
Expose your heart to the chilled air
Breathe the beauty, pump it in pump it out
Let it intrude your veins, actually feel it travel throughout your body
Let it intoxicate your brain and lodge it in your mind
That, is how you truly see
