Empty Hands

My heart is not made of stone
It’s just tired of beating alone
I have nobody by my side
I wash away with this treacherous tide
A wave of ache drowns me
Grasping for a someone, a something
To be my anchor, to save me
But my hands come up empty
And I float to the bottom of the sea

yes, "Being alone leaves a bitter taste in your mouth after too long." i know the feeling. it makes you lonely and depressed. it sucks the life out of you. all i can say is do what makes you happy and share it with others who have the same interests. remember to be with people who bring out the best in you!have fun while you are young! if you are shy get out of your comfort zone and be friendly, humans are social creatures lol.it took me long to realize that it is okay to love yourself. so love yourself.i hope my words have anchored you from this depression. i hope you feel better! i know you have great things ahead of you!

Thank you for your kind

Thank you for your kind words. This poem was kind of based on a memory of how I was not too long ago. I'm doing good now, thank you though!
