Am I the only one?

Alone
The rain begins to fall from the midnight sky
And if I were to die this very moment
I would not weep, I would not cry
The soothing music kiss my ears
Warms me from the inside out
This moment in time brings me tears
How can something so simple
be something so beautiful?

Author's Notes/Comments:

I've always felt that I see things differently from others. I find the most simple things to be the most extravagant. I enjoy the little things, and I feel most people never give them the time of day.

It's true. Most of us do

It's true. Most of us do hurry about our lives, not even noticing or really acknowledging the ground beneath our feet, the clouds above our head, the present moment all around us, constantly changing. No one is here and now, but somewhere else, at some other time, thriving in the known and miserable rather than the immeasurable reality.

Your poem is beautiful, but remember you are alone. It just so happens everyone else is too.
