Trash crosses the road.

Written on it like satire

is the word, “TURTLE.”

Author's Notes/Comments:

True story.  It was apparently a bag of turtle somethings.  It’s pretty sad when even “the turtle that crosses the road” is actually just a piece of trash.

to me...

This has a whole new meaning on a whole other personal level for me. It is quite comical actually. I read it and read it and then went and shared it with someone who thought the same thing i did. Thoroughly enjoy this little snippit. I even got chills all over my body after I shared it.

Very sad :(

the weird thing was the wind blew it like it really was a living creature crossing the road.  Sometimes even the sad moments have a strangeness that builds a perplexing sense of wonder.

Firstly

I followed the joke to its conclusion, read it again to be sure. Either this is a hoot or a stab at turtles. Innocent little turtles. Unless it was chocolate turtles. Then it's okay. Why does the turtle cross the road? To participate in the satire. :D

Yes, but

why does the turtle plastic bag cross the road?

because it’s ever so slightly more nuanced........

nah, you’re right,

a real turtle would have been better!
