There was a time when you meant everything
When you were my everything
And I would have done just about anything
Just to have you by my side
There was a time when you were my queen
And nothing would ever, could ever come in between
You made me finally feel complete
On the inside

There was a time when I would’ve died
So you could be happy on the inside
So I could see happiness in your eyes
Every time you smiled
There was a time when I would’ve killed
Anybody who tried to destroy what we feel
That couldn’t believe we were real
And we were

There was a time when we were alive
And we believed we would survive
And make it through alive
There was a time when I felt complete
And nothing could ever hurt me
There was a time when…
…but not anymore
