Loneliness - 1999

Feeling all alone, in a crowd of friends.

Wondering if you will ever find

The strength to move on.

Drowning into the emptiness of your soul,

Your emotions crowd your heart and mind,

You wait for an explosion to set them free.

Your loneliness consumes your soul.

You gasp for a breath of life,

But your heart remains dead.

You move on through life as a shadow,

Waiting to be noticed, loved, and held.

Waiting for life to re-enter your soul,

And make you happy once again.

Instead you drown into your sea of emotions,

You search frantically for resolution,

But you know you can't feel that rush alone.

You look onto life around you in a daze,

Wishing you wouldn't go unnoticed,

Hoping to find the comfort and happiness

You can feel only when you are loved.
