Water's Allies

.

The Damned, combusting Coersion, cauldron hot Contempt, and seared Sass smouldered and blew off the smoke granted them from lazer heated Hatred. Eight cities, large and small, two villages, and a farm with automated irrigation went the way of Dysfunction for seven full moons. Financial systems buckled, unemployment created a new migration of humans across the planet. Water smiled, her allies completing their tasks as instructed. Fire was simmering, Air cursed with Dark, and Earth was delayed, needing her, Affection beleaguered, also as planned. Love scratched at an armpit, wondering what the wistful lass, Water, was going to do about Sun’s displeasure and Earth Mantle’s eclectic mood shifts. Discussion about pipelines from Michigan to Nevada and California went into serious overtime.

.

The allies of Water gathered beneath a waterfall out of Fire’s aura, The Damned exhaled his displeasure at the Flaming Lad for booting him out of Hell again, this time eternally forever and two days. His curses spread across the planet and twenty thousand cities, villages, townships, and a farm failed or were absorbed by larger municpalities, like L.A. Thirty thousand newborns inherited bad luck and seven volcanoes erupted in Ocean’s deepest terrain and let off enough steam to make Coersion’s kindred, Encouragement, slap the back of his brother, Inducement, who chuckled until Magma yawned and formed a small Island chain. The elderly, disgruntled with AARP, created a coalition and started a new interest group but were unable to remember why.

.

Sass rallied bathing in the waterfall’s cold, twisting herself around Fire’s brass to exile them from the furnace, a favored space to let her children, Sarcasm and Satire, practice emitting their arts to clarify every point ever made. Fire would now be bereft of the ability to snipe or jeer for a century. Jokes will burn before they ash, she sneered glee at the plan working, just as Water wanted. Next century the goal was his sense of humor.

.

Coersion contemplated Contempt with derision, the emotion wafting beyond their cache forcing Hapinstance to congratulate the release of Mirth into the realms of Existence. Contempt frothed that Essence might be alerted to their conference site, Sass capped, “Your mother is Disdain, ignorant as her ignoring and psaltry as her put downs. I love pulling her short coat, short hairs, and short subjects.” Even The Damned smiled at the taunt, but constrained himself from crippling heroes and a host of women about to make heroic decisions to act.

.

Fire is out of control, Contempt frowned, she holds me against Water, the harlequin. Coersion made the options available: Push the wench to rain in bucketfulls, slay Moisture’s enemy, Sunshine, and enduce Cloud to fulfill her mission and pour disabling Rain into the shape of her sisters, Flood and Deluge.

Sass grinned at the the lad, flirting with a dimple and a suggestive swing of her hips. Agreed, the four, The Damned, Coersion, Comtempt, and Sass, boldly slick, submitted their strategy to Water. The reply was immediate. “Already in motion. Come up with something out of the ballpark creative. I’m sending Erosion to make your self-centering wear off! ”

Great Personafication

I found this piece to be most intriguing. It seems that water is pictured to you as both defensive and offensive.

thanks for the comment aug 4th 2013

It has been a while since I looked at these - In war sides must be both to win - One of few great and rare observations. Intriguing? Like football teams and chess - offensive plays vs. defensive moves. Yeah, like that. Thanks.
