America, Still Racist

.

What is amazing is that after all these years there are still large numbers of white (european-caucasion descended) citizens in the USA who hate people based on skin tone. WTF. Go to Europe or Africa or South America and there are way bigger fish to celebrate and fry and savor. It was a class thing in the 50's - segregation by neighborhood, we were the original ghetto blues, fancy well manicured lawn ranches and pill box ticky-tacky look alike fast exodus flight built houses were not for anyone with one drop of black blood in their veins. I always hated history and being bombarded over the past forty years (since it was not in my history books) with photos of rare fruit, and hoses, german shepherd crowd control, and civil rights workers vanishing never to be found, made me more atuned to listening to what is recorded.

.

Most people on earth do not read history either. Too disturbing: radio and tv were heavily censored until cable arrived and pay to view tv. Books also took on a more realistic slant and suddenly world readers were exposed to raw truths: we did not win WWII against Japan with the bomb - it was already defeated. Like that. Nixon, though kicked out of the presidency, signed some monumental legislation that made life better for USA and world citizens. No one is totally above the law, a lesson Trump is about to re-learn (or learn for the first time) regarding patriotism's true definition against collusion and telling state secrets.

.

KKK had a rally recently and, of course, there was violence and arrests. Images we had hoped banished forever return because Trump campaigned against civil rights for anyone but white people. When I saw black men and women supporting him, I knew the lowest common denominator vote had been activated along side die hard Republicans who vote straight ticket every two-four years loyally understanding the importance of power ownership here.

.

One term Trump is my mantra when I chant. Seven more years and the clock will be melted like a Dali painting hanging in the Chicago Art Institute. You can not turn back a melted clock. The police thought it was 1861 and just started gunning down black men. Ah, what was the point to passing anti-slavery legislation when gunment refused to respect the right to live of people of color. Why? How does hatred live that long? Ownership of people and land and resources and the inability to share with people other than your own race, is cause for war (in the courts and we seem to win there a lot). It is an education in the pocket book economy of justice and a better posture on race relations: don't kill em or their family will sue your white ass.

.

We seem to be having difficulty again getting the message out. We too are americans and USA citizens with rights and entitled to respect and we can actually possess dignity now. That said, there are a lot of citizens of all races in the country who are just ignorant and still holding on to every ilk of social philosophy from the past you can name. Freedom, absolute, for individuals is protected here and responsibility to self and your group or organization or clique is the rule. Most US citizens do not know the law governing the country or their state or their city or township or village. We really suck at educating our people. Really.

.

Racism has not gone away, it was just out of the media for while. The good jobs and college slots are not reserved for whites only, nor are bathrooms, and CEO slots. That said, it's back but people of color are building a bigger and better digital device for keeping up with the times. Tick tock. I'm jus sayin'.
