A Perfect Man Once

I met a perfect man once

hanging from a tree

I asked him how he got there

and he said, "Follow me."

He died and they say he came

back all over the world. That's

a great story to tell children.

I'm still stuck on the "Follow me."

Prefection has a bad rep

unrecognized when it appears

and makes you wonder

your life entire as you try

to follow and fail.

I tried to follow but the words were just others interpretations of what was said

How is it I should turn the other cheek,When the strong are beating to death the weak ?
I'll beg for forgiveness if it turns out I'm wrong Till then I'll not ask if it's ok to fight for the weaker than Me

Every story-teller bends the myth to his own purpose. that's why a Hero has a thousand faces

The Hebrew Fairy Tale

Is chugged full of bad advice intended as a conditioning device to keep the people dominated by the powerful. Civilizations are constructed on such heiarchies. The "perfect flaw" explanation doesn't suffice. It's an experience, not a word maybe?

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
