Friendship has no expectation

no terms like a contractual agreement.

As if there were no boundaries

or time limitations,  a friend 

is available whenever.

Take a step and your shadow

is filled with the shades of friends.

Play or pain, they stand and wait

in the background ready to come out

and perform the necessary script

to ease ills and, if needed,

to make laughter.
