Mind As A Book

Any media will serve: paper, air,
thought. Whether poets lurk
in shadow or sun, mind to mind
works as well as any air born signal
or open eye orifice.
The book is about synaptic firings,
about being readably translated,
and transcendent, but minds work
otherwards. Minds work the way
the ideator wills. Sometimes
the book needs a severe edit is all.
Most media is subservient. Wink,
gesture, and pause when writers hover
in winter drift shivering or seek shade
to cool and shed heat with a mind
remembering temperature risings
and fallings.
.
The book is a fantasy for open thinkers
who adore the notion that all things
summon possibilities. Poets carry
such books around in their pockets.
The book is an atlas to places the mind
will never visit but loves to dream about.
