a pink blossom in a new smile

of a relative in a new dress

where the world has no sway

and the twirling glee

owns the day.

Before the backdrop of saddness

and immorality, weapons shots,

deaths, and ten thousand

lies, a sun rises and dissolves

clouds, ends rains, and grants

a dose of daylight.
