the memory of fire

Folder:
Hyacinth garden

the memory of fire

an impression
of passion

could it burn again

like a thigh softly smooth and loving

here her limbs finish with sustenance

spread in liquid dreaminess

endless silvered blue are minerals

burnt to finest powder

silky deep dust
enhanced to

smooth charcoal
no fear remains

or as a finger

feels curve  of rounded  breast

held in lively recollection
of what once was

to a finer stillness

stretched
so tenderly
floating in the past

with smoky black and gray

when embers die

and no spark remains

is there a

 memory of fire

and

could it burn again

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
