song busking being poor unfinished

Buskers Lament ( poem song-unfinished)

I got no money in my wallet, Oh No

No change in my pocket no, no, nooo

Got no food or drink, Oh Lord

And it makes me think, Yes it does

I got a smiling face

A guitar and the case

Got a shitty Voice

But I ain’t got a choice

Got ideals and dreams

‘Least that’s how it seems

And as I start to talk

The people start to walk

I say

Left my home to live on the street

At first it was a struggle just to make ends meet

But I promised my baby I’d get to the top and

I know that I’ll get there just a rollin’ and a rockin’

When I get there the fun will begin

And everyone around me will hear me sing

Hats off to the busker boys with a broken guitar, and a breaking voice

Clap your hands to the busker man, He’s singing every day that he can

Woah wooooah- everyday that he can- oh oh oh

I travelled all across this nation

Met with nothing but looks and indignations

Weathered their scowls and weathered their stares

I got my dream so what do I care

One day they wont be scowling no more

Then they wont shout at me or show me the door

I stand in the pouring deluge of rain

My feet are on fire all filled with pain

And I sing….
