Basho On The Night Stand

Author's Notes/Comments: 

Note: Matsuo Basho was one of the greatest Japanese
‘haiku’ (hokku) poets. While there is much debate
among poets and scholars about haiku, I find the
freshness and flexibility Basho brought to his art
an inspiration. In turn, for me, writing haiku often
revives my artistic juices.
