mentaly ill

isolation breeds apprehension

opon stepping back into the world

intentionaly distanced from reality

anonymous monstrosities

unfit for polite society

dare they step out

of this deception

are they rational in their conviction

to unbalance this sterotype

or is self doubt to be

their ruination

I really like this poem, I think it's very beautiful.

Pamela Lawrence's picture

I have spent a lifetime, in one form or another, walking amongst those that are deemed mentally ill. Because of my experience, what others find abhorrent , I find oddly comforting and always very enlightening. Its just another face of God beckoning to us, but a heavy burden indeed for those who carry it.
Interesting poem.
