Come with me

So that we can be lost together

Come with me so that

You don't have a empty presence

Come with me

So that something may make sense

Come with me on a long journey away from here

So we can both save our minds

To a better place

Because we know the world can be unkind

I try to shine through broken dreams

And distant laugher; images of what could be

I try to grow in times of strife but it seems that it's just not my time

I try to love when I'm pushed away

I try my best on an impossible day

I am what you think and so much more

I am a danger... I am a cure

I love to hate my atmosphere

I don't yet all I do is care

My life is based on memories

So maybe I live in the past

But it's the only love I know

The only thing that keeps me going and makes me last

I want you as my future

Yet you confuse me each day

I don't know what you want

You are a mystery and a puzzle

And always keep me wondering

I think you could be a saviour

And add a slight end to my suffering

Not my Jesus!

Just to give me some peace

So that I know I have someone in this world

That just belongs to me

To think that even in shackles my spirit could be free

To know even without love there is a you and me
