A Dime a Dozen

What started in fun,
Is ending in pain,
Where once was friendship,
Is now shrouded by strife,
I saw a gap between,
But today I lift the shroud,
And what I thought fixable,
Has gone from grasp,
Like water through my hands,
She has turned away,
And I stand here,
Hoping to forget,
All I ever did,
To mourn friendship lost,
And to look to the dawn,
For a sign to go on

life throws you curve balls at every turn and there is always a what if element in it all
