Crestfallen

As the ocean washes away the sands of time

I walk along this horizon to see my boundaries

All the negative energy that circled around me

Dissipating into the air, vanishing away

The wind spraying the ocean water onto my body in the cool breeze

Rejuvenating myself, mending my wounds

Everything so beautiful and peaceful

The sun setting just over the ocean waters

Orange and purple blending the clouds with the sky

A trying and quiet desperation building up

But I vanquish my desires as quickly as they came

What do myths prefer to be heard as?

A story or as a fable

A different taste of paradise each time the story plays

An endless stream of dreams rushing through me

Seeing all those who tell their own stories

Carrying on through time, they disappear through space

An endless bound of cruelty flushed through

Hushing the loud silence between the echoes of humans

A voice that was once heard, can never be spoken of

Testing the waters of fate

A drowning so sensational, its too beautiful to leave

Finding serenity in a place I don’t call my own

Looking through the spectacle

I see what lies ahead

A vortex of lies spinning round in cycles

You are the eye of the storm, the calm centerpiece

Yet inside, you smile with deviance

Never surrendering your will to the destined one

A simple drop of blood to calm your nature

I see the sky turning black and blue

Like a bruise on the planet

The stars plead with us tonight

This quiet contradiction between everything

Is running to behead the cruel word of reality

In this place we don’t want to leave

We find our truth in lies, in a reality that doesn’t exist

Whisper gently into your ear

And you awaken to find me gone

A truth that was a lie

Was your downfall
