Clocking Out Too Soon

Folder:
Old School

So here we are

This is where you lay

Dead and laying in the back

Your heart coming to a sudden halt

The words you said before, the anger seeping through

Far beyond the measure of consequence

The cost so great, you've left too early

The sun darkens as this day falls upon those around you

Those who seek your kindness and generosity

Will be sought no more

The time you gave, the hardship you've been through

All mean nothing now

Its just a memory, the "what was" of time

Instead of the "what now", questions that linger in our hearts

Will never be answered

Trying to forget the pain, trying to numb it through

Bleeding despair upon your release

Where does it all end?

The insanity of punching out too soon

This world is not meant for those with weak hearts

But yours was strong, and a heavy one to be lifted at times

Too soon you've gone

Too far away until we meet

Your silent screams echo in the night filled air

Silently surrendering to fate

You've no reason to leave

No reason to go

But fate has turned its twisted head on you

So where will this end?

This seething pain of those around you

Your laughter was always shared

The good times have come and gone

When the cherished memories are relapsed

The tears fill my eyes

Trickling down, not even having the chance to say goodbye

Foreground progression in the hearts of many

The wind blowing lightly

Leaves rustling their soothing sound

Death apparent, and in the limelight of your release

Do we find serenity within ourselves

Go now, rest in peace

We will meet again one day
