Begin Again

love takes me softly into her arms

paying no attention to my fears

ignoring a heart bleeding and scarred

dreams come true for some I’m told.

tempting a soul to seek again

she whispers her sweetness

in the wanting I submit, smiling at her,

knowing love is an illusion,

yet hungered for in reality.

and to this quest I allow my folly

holding her softly in my arms

I beg forgiveness to my soul

falling deeply into her eyes

I begin again.

"I begin again" That's epic!

"I begin again" That's epic! Standing O!

What a way to end a brilliant personification of love as fantasy. Each line tumbles with striking eloquence into the next and builds to that last, superior line. Gorgeous dreamwork.
