Dying

Tempered by life, fires burn much softer now

Their glow but a reminisce of youth ablaze

Years turned to smoke captured by the wind

In the embers spark only memories remain

Yesterdays warmth fades to the ‘morrows chill

Time in its vengeance burning hope and dreams

All is forgiven when there is no more to give

Left by the wayside scattered ashes of being

An inferno of darkness awaiting my surrender

From deep inside it overwhelms with fear

All questions answered as truth finds my tongue

Spoken with a voice no one will ever hear

Oh my gosh this is stunningly

Oh my gosh this is stunningly beautiful, and with every reading becomes even more so. This needs a far wider audience, I hope you consider sending it for publication somewhere. Sue.

Thankyou Sweetwater for such

Thankyou Sweetwater for such kind words. As for publishing, I was thinking of a mortuary phamphlet but I haven't any takers yet. :)

Really good

At this time

I am a ping-pong ball

In the lottery of life.

Still able to make a difference

Connected

Like a chance.

Really Good

Yours always R.

I meant to say Great.

I love it all

But the last verses speak the loudest.

As should be.

Tucked away we R

Is it true that no one sees?

As they run the credits

On another travisty.

And like on  "  The Voice  "

Remember

I was the first

To turn my chair.
