A Night to Surrender

There was something surprisingly kind in his eyes.

I thought I could see my reflection in them.

His smile even surprised me

And I thought I would sink to the ground.

His voice resounding in my body,

Making me shiver and shake.

Unbelievably kind was his touch

Like he thought that I would break.

His hand came up and caressed the side of my chin

As he gazed into my eyes.

I was lost forever in that one single look,

I was his and I think he knew.

He smiled a half smile, although,

It wasn't one of arrogance.

I could see the longing in his eyes

And knew that it would only be a matter of moments

Before his lips descended on mine,

Relieving his curiosity.

I wondered what he would taste like

And in that moment I tasted heaven

As his mouth descended and captured my lips.

I was really lost and with that kiss,

I knew we wouldn't stop.

At last a poem that is not about being dumped or heartache on the boards tonight.Enjoyed this and i like the way you have left a lot to the readers imagination especially the last line.... Cheers.
