Falling Slowly

Looking through the window,

The white curtains billowing out,

Caught around my ankles.

I hold my hand to my heart and I pray.

Looking into the night

With the stars moving far away.

The wind whips at my hair,

Cascading over my face.

Brushing away cold tears,

While thinking life is all a waste.

My fingers tremble as I reach out to touch the sky,

The curtains pull tight,

Nd now I can fly.

Out through the window,

I am greeted by the night,

Wrapped in his arms

For the rest of my life.
