Love Will Not Be Hidden

What lies behind another’s eyes

Is a floodgate begging to be overflew

A history and future hopes

A recipe desiring to be found

A cloud waiting for the rain to fall down

On a deserts parched ground

That will cradle the gift in its open sands

Up on the mountain, I know God is sitting

With a smile on His face

Grace in His heart and Forgiveness by Faith

And, I know, up on that mountain

His love will not be hidden from our eyes

There are anvils and hammers

Molding the searching soul into one found

A gift underserved

A truth that cannot be denied

A breath into those who’ve died

On a deserts parched ground

Willing to cradle the gift in their open hands
