'Til We Meet

Folder:
My Thoughts

I can't see you, but oh how I can feel you

I can feel your prayers, as I hope you can feel mine

And I'll keep you safe within them, I'll pray every night

Let us not give up or give in, it's only time

'Til we meet

Love's not learned or taught, it's a gift

Still I don't know you, but you're my present

Eyes meet and hands touch, perfect is the fit

For my prayers were heard, you were sent

When we meet

Until then I'll be here waiting

'Til we meet

Cause all my future is in you

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is about knowing that there is someone out there just waiting to stumble into your life. It's also about holding on to your innocence for that person as well.

Johnathan, your writing is beautiful. I can see the love of God in you! I am a Born Again Christian, and through your writing, I can almost guarantee that you are, too! Keep writing for God! It's a wonderful, and rare Spiritual Gift!

The soul brings us to life. It leaves our bodies when we die. Why then, is it such a stretch to believe that poetry written from the heart is branded into our souls? Like love is the key to the heart, poetry must be the key to the soul.
