Return to Love

Folder:
divorce

What does it take

To not separate?

What does it take to hold on tight

To the one your eyes laid sight

From that first date you thought might

turn into a love like no other

They would forever be your lover

What happened to it?

Why did you quit?

Hopefulness turned into distress.

Once alive marital bliss

Now slammed with divorces death wish!

Why?

What did you stop?

What did you change?

The ingredients were there

Now they are missing or rearranged.

If you want this to work

You must return to the things you did

When your love yearned,.

Before the tables turned.

The weeds you have allowed to grow

Must be uprooted now

Or they will choke the life hanging on

Blowing out the flickering flame

That is trying to burn.

You must return to love.

To have love

You must give love

To love is a choice

Not waiting for external stimuli

It must come from within,

Sacrificially.

Do you remember love?

Try love again

It never fails

Return to love.

Great poem..Sometimes holding

Great poem..Sometimes holding on can be a struggle..But one lesson we have all learned is,
it takes two wanting a relationship to remain..One can not do it alone.
