The Truth About Love
Catch me as I'm falling,
Not into love... but out.
I took too long to realize,
What it was all about.
It's not about the romance,
Or waiting for his call.
It's not about emotion,
In fact- that's not love at all.
It's not about the yearning,
When partners are apart.
Love likes the painful situations,
That bring heartache from the start.
Love is absent in relations,
It portrays a very cunning lie,
While gently knotting up your heartstrings
Until the day you die.
