With humble hearts we stood

If only they could

Have over come the grave

If only they had been brave



Now our souls wonder aimlessly

Our bodies scattered messily

Our loved ones cry

Cause we had to die



There was no cause

Why don't people pause

And remember our sacrifice

Our last meal was only rice



We fought for peace

Yet our souls can't be released

Our blood was spilled

Our destiny fulfilled



You are now free

So fulfil your destiny

Please don't forget

The soldiers you met



It was me they stood beside

To keep peace world wide

To them say thanks

For all the ranks



That died in the field

And are shown on the shield

So say goodbye

And do not cry
