A year has come and gone since you and I met;

The days and nights we spent together

I'll always remember as time passes us on.

I think of you as my lover, my best friend;

But I love you more than I thought I was capable of

And more than any words could say.



There are always ups and downs-good times and bad,

But if we don't give ourselves a chance,

We'll never know what we could've had.

I'll give you all the love you'll ever need

If you'll only learn to trust me;

You'll find you can always count on me if

You'll just open your heart and let me.



We just have to let go and forget our past

That has made our hearts cold and bitter,

And give a new love a chance.

You want a no-risk guarantee-

Well, there isn't any in life.

I know your heart's been broken

And you've been down that road before.

Just give love one more try

Cause there must always be the calm before the storm.

I can only promise you that my love will keep you warm

And never again will you find

A love that's truer than mine.
