cuz I know U was tired

but whenever it is

that U find urself

greeting this day

that we have not

been promised

and rubbin' those

beautiful eyes from

blurred,sleepy vision

let me make this clear...



when U wake

know that

my mind has been in

constant thought

of U

and

what U mean 2 me

when U wake

know that

even in your absence

my heart has been and is

so full

today

yesterday

and

the day b4

of the joy

and clarity U bring

2 my cluttered table

when U wake

know that

my eyes miss the vision of U

my ears miss the laughter from U

my nose misses the scent of U

although these characterisics of U

I've encrypted in my memory

but most of all

when U wake

know this

and know it

with conviction

I am and have been

wide awake

in knowing

the importance

my life

the calm and beauty
