Tinted Glasses

I think I need some glasses

but my eyes are not broken

My heart is what needs fixing

I need to learn to feel

I think I need compassion

but there are others more forlorn

This world is what needs fixing

We don't need hurt, but heal

I think I need some glasses

To see and to reflect

What I see are broken shards

How can you say it's real?

The longevity of your poems seems assured,

I encourage and praise you and bless you– even when the light begins to fade. Do not relent continue.

I do not like to use the word criticize, I like to say find you own essence.

Poetry is an art it is beauty in words literally. All poetry needs to be essential. And like all art/beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When we make poetics our life, awareness of words and there meaning are in a space of resilience in the face of the undeniable and inescapable.

Once in print they are forever. Poems are not vapor trails on the wind.

Enough of my rambling…

By the way my glasses are broken too. As I wrote this they kept falling off of my nose…

Peace

Dylan
