Words. Colors. and People

I hate racism,
people are people.
words are words.
colors are colors.
the 3 should never be used to segregate or degrade anyone.
yet these 3 things exist either way.
yet they should never co-exist or be intertwined..
honky spik, jew, polak, nigger. they are all words.
but words are words, not colors nor people.
so deep down it shouldn't offend anybody.
yet the meaning and history behind words colors and people is offensive.
so truly to make racism disappear, you have to make the past disappear.
or to change the history of the words colors and people.
giving them all new meanings and feelings.
you cannot change a word only a definition.
you cant change history.just update it.
so lets update our history with a new definition to words colors and people, as a whole.

Could this apply to ageism,

Could this apply to ageism, sexism, sectarianism, and all the other similarly bigotting isms? Nice work.

Interesting,

Interesting, thought-provoking... its freeing to think of it in this way. As for the "now", perhaps the issue is how we deal with culturally-sensitive words... and how we make a change in ourselves. There's a "back of the mind" racism to address in most if not all of us, if you know what I mean.
