Dog Eat Dog World
If you cant run with the big dogs,
then stay on the porch.
Watch their path of destruction,
see the Earth that they scorch.
Safe from your view,
thinking everythings right.
Till nothing is left,
then they'll come for your life.
Survival of the fittest,
or so it is said.
But the fittest is alone,
when all others are dead.
The pack takes out the weak,
as you watch from your perch.
How long will it last,
till it's you they must search?
This reminds me of the saying "they came for the blacks... but i was not black, so i did not speak up for them. they came for the gays, but i was not gay, so i did not speak up for them... then they came for the moslems, but i was not muslim, so i did not speak up for them... then they came for me: and no one was left to speak up for me."
It's simple. Beautifully written.
