Gingerbread Man

How silly of me, trying to hide

My flaws - only to be thwarted

At every corner - as I run

Ducking and dodging behind

Elaborated skyscrapers, ingeniously

Designed - fortified by an awe

Inspiring facade

Bleeding through the careening sirens

Followed by an unmarked Hum-V

Dressed in black - was heard

(Get off your Ass, and Jam)

Instinctively I turned up the volume

On my walk-man playing the song

Of the Gingerbread Man

(Run, run, run, as fast as you can!)

(Run, run, run, catch me if you can!)

(Sings the Gingerbread Man)

Indubitably I suffered the

Same fate as he - out foxed

By the child of destiny
