and the winter marches on

winter's falling very hard

seems snow and ice won't stop today

the people cozy in their homes

connect their world TVs and phones

and the heat goes on, the heat goes off

the wind keeps blowing cold on us

it's a frozen world

Christmas cheers , bundles of clothes

light's warm up the city cold

cars rush on their way from work

anticipating evening's joy

the snowflakes melt upon my face

my footsteps carve themselves with grace

the cold is on the human race

and the winter marches on

yes

the cold winter marches on...

and the bare trees

rustle their branches

the pale moon glowing afar

daytime's cold sun

white on the rooftops

the cold winter marches on

Dear F.J.,

Hey there! I like your poetry, I never really cared for winter very much living in Michigan, but this poem paints a pretty aspect that we don't often get to sit and experience :).

Love ya,
Janet
