There's no reason to budge
Nobody has the right to judge
What another is believing
The memories we're retrieving
From somewhere in outer space
Long amongst the human race
Biting down on the forbidden fruit
One chews and the other follows suit
Displaying anger as a result of denial
A new name given to defile
For some, it's not the same
Pointing at someone else to blame
Causing a shift in the cosmos
Pausing the rift that the star shows
When it is revealing its light
A glimpse of hope in the middle of the night
Left without thoughts to destroy
No wars or troops to deploy
Faith remain when all else is left behind
Existence is harmonious when love is blind
But we run around using plagiarized excuses
Finding new ways to see what a lie produces
Seeing where it will get us
Playing poker with the devil and he bet us
Faced against the odds of losing
Stepping on the faces of the lives he's using
To get everything he's ever wanted
Desires are the focal point of the taunted
The best tool is the ability to grant a wish
Give us the fish rather than teach how to fish
People can choose to do what they please
It takes all kinds to make the world a disease
A Heaven on Earth or, so it seems
Running with nightmares, walking away from dreams
Maybe it is what you make of it standing in this place
How you feel when looking at yourself in the face
Searching for a simple place to belong
Trying to forget about where we went wrong
Start all over to see what it brings
Into a black hole or beyond Saturn's rings
Anything could happen if we had this chance twice
Learn from the decisions of men and mice
Change our ways or retain our arrogance
Delivering the gift of our preference
To bring us down or lift us up
Face the facts and expose the corrupt
Admitting to our mistakes
Decide once and for all where the cycle breaks
The sun can rise on a day brand new
Shining a light where the doves once flew
