Turn for the Worse

Mandy's a little girl

Whose step-dad made her mad

He went too far

So things got bad

Her family started out

Just as any would

For in the beginning

Life was good

She went to school

On a daily basis

And in P.E.

She'd win all the races

Constantly surrounded

By all of her friends

Not knowing that soon,

It'd come to an end

One late afternoon

She walked back to the house

And she managed to cross tracks

With her mother's new spouse

For just the previous year

Her real dad had died

The funeral was short

And she was the only one who cried.

Now her new dad

Was nothing but a drunk

He never took a shower

And his clothes always stunk

He pushed her around

And shouted crude remarks

Never needing her help

Until out came the narks.

He ran from the cops

And always got away

But secretly she wished

That he'd get caught anyway.

Her whole life had changed

Because of him

Nothing brought joy

Not even gym!

And as time went by

Her friends had steered away

And she was left all alone

Each and every day

She blamed all of her problems

On this horrible man

And this is what led

To him kicking the can,

His death came too soon

In fact, it was planned.

He was shot to death

By his daughter's own hand.

It was a regular day

When she came home from school

And she found her 'dad'

Working with his tools

As she stared at his figure

He noticed her presence

And screamed at her fiercely

Like she was a mere peasant

That was the straw

That broke the camel's back

For she pulled the trigger

And his vision went black

He gasped for air

As he dropped to the floor

And the little girl laughed

While she watched the blood pour.

It was twelve o'clock noon

And she woke from her dream

It was only imaginary,

Or so it seemed.
