Cell mate

You quickly became friends

And that's the way it was until the end.

You knew each other inside and out.

And knew what the other one was all about.

So when he had to say good-bye

You did nothing but cry.

You know you should have seen it...

Behind all the lies

and all the times he got high

There was somebody in need

Who just couldnt leave the weed.

Drugs were his escape-

Stuck to them like tape.

One day he went too far

And ended up behind bars.

It gave him time to think

But that just pushed him on the brink

Sittin in his cell

He was startin to rebel,

Thinkin crazy thoughts

But death was what it brought.
