Life and Death

The element of healthy isolation

Distinguishing each from the mass

Our unique viewpoints create

individual beings

The perspective is born before the body,

the physical manifestation

Without the bit of alienation,

Each having their own experience,

unable to relate past a certain level,

all would blend into One.

Instead, we have the opportunity to experience

ourselves

These separate viewpoints

eventually melt back into their infinite origin

How could something so abstract

a human mind

Have a beginning, an end, within the constraints

of a mere physical lifetime?

We're all leaves on a tree,

After gliding to the ground when autumn comes

Absorbed into the soil

Fertilizer for the rest

The cycle of life continues

And this change, daunting and bewildering

to those unsure

Is actually just a minor transition,

a ripple

and the river flows on.
