Wasting Time

Struggling, resisting the flow of questions

   and sometimes tentative answers

To confine the mind

   to the inevitable chores.

A lesson to be learned

To transcend the drab physical constraints

and allow the spirit to wander

Floating, drifting, hot air balloon

Touch down occasionally,

just to show them you're still around

give a vague, fictitious flight plan,

endure the inspection, though you know

   nothing's wrong.

Looking through the lens of Awareness

An angle where

Significance is made trivial

Stability dissolves into uncertainty

Yet, the glowing light intensifies

Making it seem worthwhile
