Tonight

She lounges on the sofa,
sweetly tucked under a throw.
Dark eyes intent on me,
one brow arching as I smile.
I see the white gleam of teeth,
as her bow mouth tips up.
Pink cheeked and sleepily,
waiting for me almost patiently,
to finish writing this poem.
So she can take me to bed.
She stares as I sip my tea.
Wanting slow goodnight kisses,
as I crave the taste of her neck.
Smooth, soft and sun kissed,
beneath my lips and tongue.
Her eyes slip over my body,
imagining as I imagine,
us snuggled together so tight.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I love thinking about quiet evenings at home.
