IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE

There is such deep, confident pleasure,

as sure, as calm as a guaranteed treasure,

in being thought to be merely a mad-man,

that can only be known by that man;

        no-one knows the lover's heart

                      like a lover.

        no-one knows the mad-man's heart

                      like his other.

Author's Notes/Comments:

We sat around lunch, with nothing better to do than stare at each other.   We decided that if we didn't know each other so well, we'd consider ourselves to all be "weird", but since we were friends, we WEREN'T "weird".  We understood each other.  I guess we'd call it "acceptance".  Are YOU "weird"?
