Books for Love

I gave her books for love,

and like the sky for the sun she began to change,

even in her eyes, from grey to blue and every color of sunset in between,

my god those eyes..

And so we grew in love.

I wrote her books, line by line, behind my smile.

all filled to overflowing with my honest intentions,

page after page... and like the ocean tides ebb ebb and flow,

her lovely heart would come and go..

but somewhere between the lines enough wasn't said,

pages began to turn blank,

and in a cold silent stare the binding did break,

Somewhere in her fragile smile I saw it,

the glint of her fractured heart,

and like the sun in winter fades faster and faster,

we fell apart,

and my world became cold like snow that wont melt,

I left without looking back,

left her with my books and my love,

saved nothing of her but the the words hiding behind my smile,

and the teardrops on my heart's empty pages..

Your visions are brilliant in

Your visions are brilliant in their construction and presentation.

I like how you manifest your story through well compartmentalized atmosphere.

Very moving and connectable.

Exquisite write, bravo!

Broken Hearts and Empty Pages, Batman!

My heart broke - these line flushed up a few old bad endings, when love is new and the found love is shot on the street-the heart hurts. Time heals, but the saddness, the missing stays behind. I concur with Tides, Your visions are brilliant across many spectra. ~Allets~
