What you got is fresh
Like crisp linens on a summer day
And in my mind you play all day
Lingering on my every thought
Becoming my only after that
Wishing you were my final thought
Because what you got is fresh
Something like flowers in spring
Blooming inside me is what’s happening
Got me liking not just lusting
Got me thinking not just wanting
When what you got is fresh
Like lemonade with my hot plate
Finally to quench my thirst
To add vibrancy to my earth’s core
I can feel your level’s every level
Because what you got is fresh
Enough to make me step out of myself
And understand my worth
As you revel in my wonder and I allow it
Molding our minutes into a perfect fit
When what you got is fresh
Time plays on my emotions
Chasing short nights into long days
Of too much time spent away
From time spent with you in any way
Because what you got is fresh
Enough to linger on my pallet
And remove old memories from my senses
And so quick, this us seems senseless
But I love getting caught up in your freshness.
