we aren't so different.

you & i,

we chase the light

to find the selves that we've lost.

you & i,

Souls of Gold,

Hearts of Fire

Encased in Ice.

i see the echo of life amongst the ghosts,

the thirst for meaning amongst the soulless

automatons--

that bleeds through the artifice

they have made for us.

you & i,

we want more than this.

so you see,

you & i,

we aren't so different;

for behind the thick frost,

we burn.
