sorrow and the girl

she sits alone

in the darkness

upon a bed of nails

tormenting and killing her.

she is afraid

of a life without meaning

of a world without feeling

the daisies in her house

wither from the wilderness.

she folds her arms

refuses to give up.

I want to keep you safe

build home within my heart.

she is lonely.

you could drink all my tears

you could eat all my fears

she reaches out and screams

the twilight softly burns red.

she sits with me

in the rain

amongst a sea of faces

tormenting and killing us

she is smiling.

knowing I will love her

knowing I will leave her

her hair turns silver splendour

at the coming of the moon.

she leans over

and kisses me

I want her to keep me safe.

an open book our lives become

now she is crying.

knowing I will love her

Knowing I will leave her

we say goodbye unto the sun

and make our way back home.
