Angel

A golden angel

Is buried deep inside

She wants so badly to come out

But from this world she hides

She knows she cannot love here

And love is all she knows

The more she tries to come out

The further in she goes

Everytime she tries to spread her wings and fly

She gets pushed right back down

By foolish defensive pride

Her wings beat against the walls

One day she will be free

I know this because

All this love, this angel

She's in me

Author's Notes/Comments:

society doesn't always allow us to be how we really are, thats when we must just decide we're going to be anyways

This poem made me cry. I hope you don't take this offensive, but I remember how you used to be and I miss that Jacqui I miss the Jacqui that I first became friends with.
