Confused Heart

Folder:
Love/Love Lost

What do you do when you have a confused heart,

Two separate directions and a decision that’s too hard.

How can you follow something when there is two different paths,

Both directions feel good and yet they both hurt so bad.

One way is the route you have been traveling on,

And the other is a path of which you have never was once gone.

It’s like a fork in the road and your mind is twisted,

And something is there but you’ve blinked and missed it.

How do you react when you don’t know what’s happened,

Your heart and mind collide and cause an unfamiliar reaction.

The one thing in life you were always so sure about,

Has now become a blurry vision in the shadow of this new route.

Something so true is down one path and something so new down the next,

You have to make a choice but you aren’t sure which choice is best.

The decision you make will, in some ways, depict who you are,

But damn, what do you do when you have a confused heart?
