True Poet

I am not just a writer but a true poet a heart,

If you take away this ability you’d be taking away my heart.

Because what I do is put my feelings on paper,

So others can understand me and I can reminisce later.

Line after line and rhyme after rhyme,

My writing is how my heart was feeling at that time.

Whether it be darkness and guilt or confusion and pain,

These are the words that happened to cross my brain.

You see what I do is express what you probably felt at some time,

The same thing that ran through your head is now running through mine.

You can sit back and relate to these feelings of great chaos,

And at the same time you sympathize for me I bring tears to your eyes.

Because finally you know that you are not the only person,

There’s other’s just like you that feel the same hurting.

I can see the un-see-able, know the un-know-able, and do the un-do-able,

And with every single verse that I write, I get one step closer to you.
